Urban Cow Course

Your half marathon adventure begins in William Land Park, home of the Sacramento Zoo.
Enjoy the waving neighbors as you travel along the tree-lined streets of the Land Park neighborhood.
Making your way through Downtown in the Middle Miles, you’ll see the iconic sights of the State Capitol and the Tower Bridge.
A path under the freeway deposits you back in time, in historic Old Sacramento.
The Sacramento River and Marina await you around Mile 7, and you’ll enjoy river views along the levee - smile for the photographers!
The final stretch takes you along Riverside Boulevard and back into William Land Park, for a loop around the golf course.
One mile to go, and you’ll be back at the Party Pasture and ready to recover and relax!
Time Limits
Half Marathon runners have a 4 hour time limit – or until the cows come home (whichever comes first) – to complete the event. There is no time limit for the 5K.
Aid Stations
Aid stations will be located approximately every 2 miles on the half marathon course. Our aid stations are supported by local high school cross country team members. Half Marathon aid stations will feature Superieur electrolyte drink and water (water only for the first fluid station). Electrolyte drink will be located on the first set of tables, with water following.
The 5K course will feature one aid station, with water only.
